GDPR Rights Notice
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data, which we explain below:
Right of Access: You can ask us whether we process your personal data, and request a copy of any data we hold about you. We will provide you with a readable electronic copy of your data free of charge within one month.
Right to Rectification: If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct or update it.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be forgotten”): You can ask us to delete your personal data if it is no longer needed for our purposes or if we are processing it unlawfully. We will erase your data unless we have a legitimate reason to keep it (for example, for legal obligations).
Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to suspend the processing of your data in certain cases – for example, if you contest its accuracy or object to our use of it. We will then only store the data and not use it further without your consent.
Right to Data Portability: You can ask for the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used format (e.g. CSV or PDF) so you can move it to another service. This applies to data you gave us directly (like data in your registration or profile).
Right to Object: You can object at any time to our processing of your data on legitimate interest grounds (for example, analytics or security processing). You can also object to receiving direct marketing (such as newsletters); if you do, we will stop such processing immediately.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Whenever our processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. After withdrawal, we will stop processing your data for that purposeeuropa.eu. (For example, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter or change your cookie consents.)
Right to Complain: If you believe we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP). According to EU guidance, the supervisory authority should respond to complaints within three months.
These rights are guaranteed by the GDPR (Article 15–22) and summarized by EU authorities.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. Include enough details so we can identify you (such as the email or name you used with us) and describe your request clearly. We may ask for proof of identity to protect your privacy.
We aim to respond promptly, and in any case within one month of receiving a valid request. If we cannot comply (for example, if a request is unfounded or excessive), we will explain why and inform you of your options.
